Healthcare professionals’ participation in healthcare market research is essential to inform decision making and developments in our industry. Yet understandably, HCPs may want to participate in research for a multitude of reasons.

In our latest survey, we asked our panel of HCPs across the UK and US why they participate in market research, revealing some interesting insights.

Here are the top five takeaways:

1. ONLINE SURVEYS ARE PREFERRED

Out of all methodologies online surveys were the most popular option, with 100% of respondents in the UK and the US being happy to participate in online surveys.

2. ONE TO ONE IS PREFERRED

14% more respondents would be happy to participate in online 1:1 methodologies than in online groups.

3. AIMING TO INFLUENCE

In both the UK and US, the most popular reason for participation was ‘to influence decision makers’.

4. FINANCIAL INCENTIVES

In the UK, the second most popular choice for healthcare market research was to earn extra money. Interestingly, this was only the fourth highest answer in the US.

5. PERSONAL INTEREST

In the US, the second most popular choice for participation in healthcare market research was due to scientific interest.
